Jenn Fontaine - Owner, LCCE, FACCE, CD(DONA), BDT(DONA), PCD(DONA) CLC, CLE, CHBE, WSGB Instructor
Jenn is a certified childbirth educator, birth and postpartum doula, and international doula trainer. Since 2002, she has supported families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, providing compassionate care and evidence-based education.
In 2016, Jenn was honoured to be inducted as an FACCE (Fellow of the Academy of Certified Childbirth Educators), recognizing her significant contributions to childbirth education and her dedication to promoting safe and healthy birth through evidence-based practice.
Beyond her hands-on work, Jenn is deeply committed to education and mentorship. She has trained doulas and childbirth educators across North America, Australia, New Zealand, and beyond. A sought-after speaker, she has presented at conferences worldwide, sharing her expertise in birth, postpartum care, trauma-informed support, and perinatal education. She also develops curriculum for doula and childbirth education programs, ensuring the next generation of birth workers receives high-quality, evidence-based training.
Jenn is an instructor for When Survivors Give Birth, a lactation educator, and a crisis counsellor, providing support through sexual assault crisis lines, suicide lines, and other crisis services. She has also completed the Certificate of Applied Counselling through the University of Manitoba. As a business owner in Winnipeg, she remains dedicated to empowering families and equipping birth professionals with the knowledge and skills to make a lasting impact.
At her core, Jenn believes that supporting one family at a time creates a ripple effect, fostering a kinder, more compassionate world—one birth, one parent, and one new beginning at a time.
